Educate! envisions a future where the education system in Uganda, and elsewhere in Africa, develops youth to be leaders and entrepreneurs. We are the only organization working to scale a proven model through the education system to directly enable young people to take leadership initiative, create small businesses and improve their livelihoods. In 2013 we reached 8,000 students with full programming, and an additional 25,000 students with our entrepreneurship course integrated into Uganda’s national curriculum. In 2014, we are scaling our model to reach more than 20,000 students across over 200 schools, a first step en route to Educate!’s 10-year vision of serving one million students annually across ten countries, including 100,000 students annually across 1,000 schools in Uganda.
