Amy purchased Novatek at the young age of 20 and balanced a Rochester-based team while completing the last two years of her college degree at Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY. She earned the respect of Novatek’s clients and staff and turned any fears or skepticism of her age into excitement. In her first year after taking the reins full-time, Amy diversified clientele, landed one of the largest contracts in the company’s history, and increased revenue by 25%. Shortly after, she was recognized as one of Rochester’s Up and Coming Businesswomen. In recent years, Amy has been named the Rising Star of the Women Presidents Organization, an organization for women presidents of multimillion-dollar companies across the US and Canada. She was also awarded the Young Entrepreneur Champion of the Year, at the district, state, and regional level by the U.S Small Business Administration. In November, Amy was invited to the White House to be recognized as one of the top 100 companies run by young entrepreneurs age 30 or younger who impact our economy, where she gave a brief speech on the importance of entrepreneurship.
