Picasolar is commercializing the largest single step efficiency improvement in solar since 1974. Over 4 billion solar cells were made last year that lose ~15% of their efficiency due to imperfections in the top layer, or the emitter of the solar cell. That might not sound like a lot, but with $32 billion dollars of cells sold last year, fixing this is worth $5 billion. That is exactly what we do. The Hydrogen Super Emitter (HSE) process fixes these flaws allowing a manufacturer to capture this lost efficiency while reducing the amount of silver gird lines which saves manufacturing costs. Picasolar will build and sell the equipment necessary to implement the process. The technology recently received the highly competitive SunShot Incubator Award from the Department of Energy and enabled us to recruit a COO who has built a billion dollar company using our business model in an adjacent industry.
